Houston Chronicle Bay Area, April 3, 2008 The Circle of Life Women's Forum is planned for April 18 at First United Methodist Church in Dickinson. The American Hospital Association, in partnership with the Texas Hospital Association, has awarded Karen Sexton, interim executive vice president and chief executive officer of UTMB's Health System, with its annual Partnership for Action Grassroots Champion Award. The Student Nurses Association at UTMB has adopted the Butterfly Room in the Children's Hospital as a class project. The students are raising money to enhance the pediatric palliative care room. At a Match Day ceremony recently during which graduating medical students learn where they will serve their residencies, 94 percent of the 194 students participating were matched successfully.
