Galveston County Daily News, April 12, 2008 Thanks to the commitment of Dr. E.Burke Evans and Galveston's East End Historical District Association, a new, octagonal, iron pavilion was dedicated in Darragh Park Friday. Evans, a longtime orthopedics faculty member, also created both a professorship and a nursing award at UTMB in 2004.
