Wisconsin State Journal, April 14, 2008 Eric Nelson suffered burns to 97 percent of his body as the result of an unprovoked attack in Madison, Wis. The couple moved to Galveston in 2001. His wife, Heather Gallagher-Nelson, works in the cytopathology lab at UTMB.
