Galveston County Daily News, April 28, 2008 Sid Wolfenson of Jamaica Beach donated $50,000 to help pay for a medical device that can be used to predict the effectiveness of therapy for macular degeneration as well as detect the condition at an early stage. Wolfenson helped fund the Spectralis device in appreciation for the treatment he has received from UTMB Dr. Erik van Kuijk of the department of ophthalmology and visual sciences. (Link unavailable.)
