Austin American-Statesman, May 10, 2008 AUSTIN - The first Central Texas Clinical Research Forum for doctors, scientists and health care providers aimed at encouraging collaborations in clinical research was held Friday at the University Medical Center at Brackenridge. "Events like this help set the stage for a medical school," said Dr. T. Samuel Shomaker, dean of Austin programs for UTMB, told the gathering of 175 to 200 people.
