GALVESTON, Texas - Corrin Le Vasseur has been named director of patient services for the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

The patient services department provides a centralized means to initiate, review and, when possible, resolve patient concerns. As director, Le Vasseur will respond to patient issues and identify opportunities to enhance patient care and service.

"Our patients have always been our top priority, and Corrin will play a key role in our providing the best possible experience for our patients and their families," said Karen H. Sexton, interim executive vice-president and chief executive officer of the UTMB Health System.

"Our goal is to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction by providing the highest-quality health care and service. Corrin is the right person to lead us toward that goal," said Sexton.

Le Vasseur comes to UTMB from the Cancer Therapy & Research Center in San Antonio where she was the director of the referral center responsible for patient satisfaction. She holds a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in health care administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
