Galveston County Daily News, June 3, 2008 Betsy Clardy has been named associate vice president and chief development officer for UTMB, according to Dr. David L. Callender, president of UTMB. Clardy will lead development efforts to secure philanthropic funding to support UTMB's priority research, education and patient care initiatives, including a new $250 million dollar medical tower and a $90 million research facility on the UTMB campus. She will report directly to Callender when she begins her duties in August.
