Pearland Journal, June 25, 2008 There is now an alternative for pregnant moms needing care in the Houston area. The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston inaugurated its newest clinic in Pearland with a dedication ceremony and open house recently.  The Regional Maternal and Child Health Program provides quality community-based health care services to women and children who might otherwise not receive them. The new Pearland clinic will allow pregnant women enrolled in the program to be examined by UTMB maternal and fetal medicine specialists - without having to travel to Galveston.
