Pasadena Citizen, July 16, 2008 The first multi-specialty ophthalmology treatment center to serve the Friendswood area is now open. According to Dr. Erik van Kuijk, department vice chair for clinical services, the AMD imaging technology at the UTMB University Eye Center is the best in the area. "It allows us to see changes at the near-microscopic level in advance of when they would be detected with standard equipment."
