This week's column includes: Dr. James LeDuc being appointed deputy director of the Galveston National Laboratory. Dr. Lisa A. Elferink named to the Edna Seinsheimer Levin Endowed Professorship in Cancer Studies. Dr. Sassan Ehdaie, a resident in anesthesiology, being selected as outstanding intern of the year. Dr. Kjell Lindgren, aerospace medicine resident and Dr. Jay Rapley, orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation resident, were selected as outstanding residents. Dr. Yael Barr, aerospace medicine/internal medicine resident, has won the William K. Douglas Award from the International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine. Dr. Charles Mathers, aerospace medicine/internal medicine resident, was selected as outstanding intern in internal medicine.
