UTMB to study hospitalization effects on elderly July 23, 2008 Galveston County Daily News, July 23, 2008 UTMB researchers have received a five-year, $1.25 million grant to study how being hospitalized affects older patients. The grant from the National Institute on Aging will support studies of patients in the university's Acute Care for Elders unit.
