Galveston County Daily News, July 23, 2008 In their Keeping Kids Healthy column, UTMB Drs. Sally Robinson and Keith Bly wrote about the importance of being patient with children when potty training time comes around. "Check your frown at the door. Use your library voice. Smile often. Remember, you weren't perfect when you potty trained. Your child won't be, either. There will be mistakes, accidents and ‘oops' moments, too. Take them in stride and respond to them calmly. Thank your child for trying and remind them that this is just an accident; pretty soon, they'll be going to bathroom just like mom and dad."
