Galveston County Daily News, July 28, 2008 St. Vincent's House, which provides services to a neighborhood filled with the working poor, is staffed by students and faculty from UTMB. It also operates a day care and other programs to serve people who are struggling to escape from poverty. As those programs have expanded, St. Vincent's House has run out of room. This article focuses on the executive director's hopes to expand the site to the property that sits on a corner opposite St. Vincent's House.
