Letters to the editor / Galveston County Daily News, Aug. 7, 2008 Jay and Lori Carnes of Texas City wrote that, as the owners of a small business, they have not been able to provide employees with health insurance. They praise UTMB's 3-Share health benefits program which has allowed them to provide coverage. "We say thanks to UTMB for helping small-business owners and their employees, who are very excited about this program. Also, recently, we had our first baby at UTMB, and we know we made the right decision, as the care she received was exceptional. Residents of Galveston County are lucky to have such a health care organization. Its present leadership is certainly going in the right direction."
