PBS Religion and Ethics, Episode no. 1149, Aug. 8, 2008 Several UTMB physicians are featured in this national PBS program "Religion and Ethics" that explored the issue of providing cancer care to illegal immigrants. Drs. John Stobo, Avi Markowitz and Kirk Smith, as well as UTMB professor Laura Hermer, a lawyer and assistant professor of health policy and bioethics, were interviewed for the program.
