Galveston County Daily News, Aug. 18, 2008 UTMB's Dr. Nancy Robinson, an assistant professor in neurology, provides advice on how a neurologist will try to determine why someone is falling down. "As with most medical problems, a detailed history is important in helping your physician figure out why you're falling. Any symptoms leading up to the fall could provide important clues, like lightheadedness, faintness, numbness, weakness," Robinson says in this guest column. She concludes:  "People fall for many different reasons, but an important thing to remember is to pay close attention to the signs that your body is giving you. It could help your overall health and prevent a fall."
