GALVESTON, Texas - "Occupational Therapy: Living Life to its Fullest" is the topic of a free presentation scheduled for September in La Marque and Galveston by the Senior Services Office at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

The speaker is Gretchen Stone, chairwoman of the Department of Occupational Therapy at UTMB's School of Allied Health Sciences. Those who attend will learn about the skills, education and support offered by occupational therapy.

The presentation is part of the Circle of Life lecture series for older adults. The presentation is open to anyone regardless of age.

The seminars are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. A boxed lunch is available for $3 for those who make reservations. Here is the schedule:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 10, at First Baptist Church, 821 Laurel St., in La Marque.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 5127 Avenue U, in Galveston.
