GALVESTON, Texas - The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is opening a cardiology clinic Friday, Oct. 24 in Texas City while the facilities in Galveston damaged by Hurricane Ike are being repaired.

The full-service cardiology clinic will be located at 6807 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Suite 310. Clinic hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, said Dr. Ken Fujise, director of cardiology at UTMB. 

Services available include general cardiology, preventive cardiology, heart failure and transplant, electrophysiology, echocardiography, stress testing, pacemaker check and Holter EKG.

"We are very glad to once again be providing heart care for the community," Fujise said.  "Our highly-skilled cardiology experts are ready to help you with all your heart problems."
