Don't try quick fixes without homework October 28, 2008 Galveston County Daily News, Oct. 28, 2008 UTMB's Dr. Michael Warren, in his weekly column, urges people to do some research before trying products that promise cures for baldness, guarantee weight loss or some other quick cure for an ailment. Because products made of all-natural ingredients do not require approval by the Food and Drug Administration, many of these products are largely unregulated. "Read the label carefully to determine a product's ingredients. If you have any doubts, don't use it. Seek advice from a pharmacist or doctor. Ingredients should always be listed. . . .
