What: Halloween carnival at UTMB for all children of Galveston. Games, costume contest, food, clothing and candy.
Where: Plaza of Moody Medical Library, near corner of Ninth and Market streets in Galveston.
When: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.
Why: To have a safe, supervised Halloween for children and avoid reconstruction and debris from Hurricane Ike.
