GALVESTON, Texas - The Galveston Regional Maternal and Child Health Program will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1 on the seventh floor of the University Hospitals clinics building, located next to the UTMB emergency room. Parking is available in Lot 2 on Harborside Drive.

"We're delighted to be able to serve our patients once again," said Cathy McLean, regional director.

The clinic already has 100 patient appointments scheduled for its first week of operations.

The Regional Maternal & Child Health Program provides prenatal care for pregnant women and their families, in addition to family planning and well-woman health services.  Staff members also assist participants in applying for Medicaid and other special programs for which they may be qualified.

The Galveston location is one of 30 clinics in Southeast Texas and South Texas established to provide prenatal care and well-woman services. For more information or to make an appointment, call (409) 747-4952.
