KRIV-TV (Ch. 26, Fox Houston), Nov. 24, 2008 The John Sealy Hospital at the University of Texas Medical Branch has temporarily suspended inpatient admission after several of their operating rooms showed unacceptable air quality. Four of six operating rooms are affected by the air cultures, so the hospital is suspending further inpatient admissions until the situation is fixed, spokesman Raul Reyes said. However, the hospital will continue to use the remaining unaffected rooms to admit patients for labor.
