Members of the governor’s Commission for Disaster Recovery and Renewal got a brief tour of John Sealy Hospital so that they could see first-hand the damage caused by Hurricane Ike. The panel is to evaluate the state’s role in the storm recovery process as well as study preparation protocols for the next storm. Karen Sexton, executive vice president and CEO of the UTMB Health System, is on the commission.
