UTMB’s Karen Sexton is quoted in this report about the Galveston County Sexual Assault Response Team signing a new cooperative working agreement today at UTMB. “I am extremely proud of our sexual assault nurse examiner program and the highly specialized care that our nurses provide,” Sexton said. “It is an honor to partner with Galveston County on this important initiative.” Members of the team work to investigate cases while providing sensitive and long-term support for victims.
