Lawmakers approved and sent to Gov. Rick Perry a bill that includes provisions for a $150 million bond issue to build a new hospital at UTMB. A state spending bill includes another $150 million for the project. The Houston Chronicle and the Dallas Morning News also filed their own reports about this bill that the governor is expected to sign.
