A UTMB alumnus, Dr. John C. Price, has established an endowment in memory of his brothers to help the institution train physicians who will specialize in caring for heart patients. The Melvin L. Price M.D. and Charles A. Price D.D.S. Endowment for Cardiology Fellowship Training will support young doctors' education as they learn to treat heart disease. Price said that he set up the endowment to ensure the medical branch can train more cardiologists. The Galveston County Daily News also published an article about the endowment.
