UTMB's Bonnie Brandon is quoted in this magazine article about radiologists who work in prisons. Brandon, who works in the women's prison in Gatesville, said that she performs up to 25 mammograms a day. "I've been here almost 18 years and have never felt threatened in here," Brandon says. "Most of the women who come through here are grateful for the service. This is something that they probably couldn't afford out in the free world. And so they behave."
