This week's items, provided by UTMB's Office of Public Affairs, are UTMB being awarded a five-year, $21.5 million grant by the National Center for Research Resources of the National Institutes of Health; Oscar Suman winning special recognition from President Barack Obama for his work in helping children recover from burns; and the team of police Sgt. David DeOre and officer Chad Wiland winning first place in the 2009 Chancellor's Trophy Pistol Match held in Austin.
