GALVESTON, Texas — Senior Services at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is hosting a free presentation in Texas City and Galveston in June. Cheryl Vaiani, a clinical ethicist in the UTMB Institute for the Medical Humanities and an assistant professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health, will discuss “Taking Control: Making Health Care Decisions.” The presentation is part of the Circle of Life … Transitions lecture series for seniors and family members.
The presentations are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. For those who register, a box lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. There is no charge for lunch. Here is the schedule:
• Wednesday, June 14, St. George’s Episcopal Church, 510 13th Ave. North, in Texas City
• Wednesday, June 21, Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church, 2803 53rd St, in Galveston
