Students from all four schools at the University of Texas Medical Branch organize the health fair each year. Children and adults are invited to take advantage of free health screenings including vision, cholesterol, diabetes, anemia, lung function tests and blood pressure checks and to visit more than 60 informational booths. All participants will be eligible to win a door prize. Entertainment will include Burnet Elementary Choir, Weis Middle School Owelettes Dance Team, Boys & Girls Club Praise Dancers, Ishmael Robles Karate, yoga and belly dancing demonstrations and the UTMB a cappella singing group Syncope. UTMB’s Hooty the Owl, Dr. Dolphin and the Tooth Fairy will be there to entertain the kids. The UTMB blood donor coach will be onsite. Donors must be at least 17 years old, have a photo ID and be in good health. Each donor will receive a gift.
